The Sattvā Experience

During this 2.5 hr. mini retreat, we will begin with a dharma talk about what living a sattvic life entails and discuss different breath techniques we will use to turn on the parasympathetic nervous system in order to fully reap the benefits of this unique practice. From there, we will move into an all levels vinyasa flow to build heat and burn through barriers before transitioning into a slow, mindful and intuitive flow.  Flowing first helps work out physical tension to soften our muscles and quiet our thoughts before we share in a sacred cacao ceremony to open our hearts. Next, we’ll transition into a yin practice which further challenges the mind to be quiet as we hold postures for several minutes to open locked spaces (focusing on our stiff connective tissues which are harder to open than our muscles that are made of water) in our bodies in a tranquil and quieter space before moving into a Yoga Nidra (psychic yogic sleep) practice in which you will be bathed in various sounds to further reduce pain and inflammation, stress and anxiety, improve sleep, lower blood pressure and leave you floating on a cloud of pure bliss as you slip into a conscious dream-like state (and if you fall asleep, that’s great. It means you needed it!).

Light refreshments, cacao, and props (blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters, eye pillows and sandbags) will be provided.  Bring a mat, water, and any other props you’d like to use (pillows are great for savasana!).

Cost is $55 and space is limited to 12 friends

Fall Surrender Retreat

Fall Surrender Retreat

Autumn is a season of reflection, transition, and awareness of the impermanent nature of the “things” in life, and acceptance of what is.   It is a time to shed ourselves of all of that which does not serve us as we reap the fruits of our spiritual labor and transition into the colder days and deep rest. Just as the trees shed their leaves, so do we shed our outer layers while our roots remain strong and grounded in the foundation of our most authentic selves.  It is a time of letting go and of deep surrender.

Join me for a very special day of bliss with meditation, yoga, sound healing, breath work, an ayrurvedic self-care ritual, and a very special sattva experience with a cacao ceremony, a delicious fall-themed lunch, optional cold plunge and fellowship among each other!

Full schedule of events to follow.

$145 Investment covers all materials for sessions, tea and apple cider, snacks, lunch and parting gifts.

In kindness to those who may be on a waiting list, please cancel 7 days prior to retreat to receive a full refund. Thank you!

Space is limited to just 12 participants. Pre-registration is strongly suggested—The last retreat sold out!

Gardening the Soul: A Yang/Yin experience to awaken the body, mind and spirit

  • Open Doors Yoga Studio East Bridgewater (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

In this 90-minute class, we will begin with clearing breathwork to start “weeding” our spiritual gardens, followed by a brief  opening meditation to begin cultivating seeds we wish to sow in this season.  We will then place those seeds into a carefully selected crystal gemstone for you to keep as a reminder of your intention, and as a place for the seeds to spout. Next, we’ll begin tilling our soil by moving through an invigorating vinyasa flow to aerate stagnant energy to open us up and create nutrient-rich soil to plant our seedlings before moving on to a blissfully relaxing yin sequence. Our yin practice grants us time and space for our seeds to take root in our hearts, and we will use props to support our bodies to gradually open the connective tissues that harden and become brittle overtime. You’ll experience relaxing and nurturing assists during this portion of class before we lie back and prepare for a guided meditation, followed by a spring showered sound bath and savasana.

A fresh, earthy, energizing, and relaxing aromatherapy blend will be diffusing for the entirety of class, and you’ll feel as though you’re walking through a beautiful blooming meadow on a bright and sunny spring day!  You’re invited to linger after class to enjoy a selection of seasonally appropriate tea, infused water, refreshments and conversation with your fellow spirit gardeners!

Open to all levels of practice, but some experience with (warm) vinyasa is recommended.

 Gently heated between 80/85 degrees.

Space is limited. Click HERE to pre-register!

Limitless Flow

What does it really mean when your yoga teacher talks about finding flow in your practice? How do we flow to create mindfulness that manifests into our physical bodies through practice? Find out with Carolyn and Sandi on Sunday, March 8 at Woke Yoga Loft, East Bridgewater and learn the art of flow— untap your potential by quieting your mind, heightening your physical senses and discover how far can your practice take you. Tune IN to your body, turn OFF your mind, and reach your full potential— you are capable of more, and stronger than you may think.

Yoga practitioners of all levels are welcome to explore, however prior yoga experience may be helpful, as this is a heated class. This Vinyasa yoga sequence is designed to open the major joints of the body slowly, offering the option for more difficult transitions, poses, and arm balances. Over the course of the practice, movement becomes meditative.

You’ll walk away feeling strong and accomplished, refreshed and renewed having discovered something new and exciting about just how amazing you are!

Journey...Into the Woods

Join Sandi and Carolyn for another exciting yoga experience as they guide you on a journey through the woods and upward towards the sky! This class will be filled with elements of the great outdoors which you will experience in your body and mind, through all five senses. Your journey will begin at the base of a mountain where you will be guided through a heart-pumping, invigorating vinyasa flow which will simulate the feeling of a vigorous hike. Visually, you will notice the vegetation begin to transform as you ascend upward through dense forest until you reach a summit with clear blue skies on the horizon as you breathe in cool, fresh air. Once you reach the top, you’ll be guided through a relaxing restorative sequence followed by a traditional Dzochen meditation where you will take in views of endless skies in front of you; and eventually settling into an extra long, extra blissful savasana. When you awaken, you’ll be invited to further nourish your body, mind, and soul with a refreshing tea blend and homemade trail mix!

Parts of this class will be heated. Prior vinyasa experience is helpful, but all levels are welcome to journey with us!

Space is limited to 20 students only. Please pre-register.
